Catholic Women's League

(former Chinese Catholic Ladies' Club)

Our club is the first Parish sodality established by Monsignor Peter Chow in the November of 1961. It continued to flourish under the encouragement and guidance of our Pastor. Hopefully, through this “PARISH OPEN HOUSE” we will be able to get new blood to aid us in our future endeavours.

The object of our Club is to bring the ladies together, and with Our Lady as our role model, help our families in better loving God and our neighbours: and serve the Parish to our capacity.

At our monthly meetings, apart from reciting the Rosary and attend to Club business, we get an inspiring talk from our Spiritual Director. After tea, we share our experiences in household tips and children problems. Now and then, we get our talented members to do demonstrations. So far, we have had, to mention just a few, course in knitting, Japanese cuisine and flower arrangements.

Our members are expected to:

• Attend monthly meetings.

• Run the Club’s craft stall at the Annual Bazaar.

• Assist in supplying snacks at Christmas Eve and Chinese New Year “get-togethers”.

• Organize and attend pot-luck dinners.

• Pray for members’ personal intentions.

• Attend Masses offered by the Club for special intentions

• Carry out assignments designated by the Pastor.
  

聖方濟堂婦女會

本會成立於一九六一年十一月﹐是周若漁蒙席在我們堂區組織的第一個善會繼由本堂神父領導之下﹐會務蒸蒸日上﹐願透過「堂區介紹日」以後不斷增加新血﹐讓我們集中力量﹐為堂區效力。

敝會宗旨是聯合會友姊妹﹐以聖母瑪利亞為生活典範﹐帶領全家敬主愛人﹐發揮婦女才能智慧﹐協助堂區擴展教務。

我們於每月例會中﹐除公唸玫瑰經﹐聆聽神修講座﹐討論會務外﹐茶點後﹐還商討家庭處理﹐兒童教育等問題。會友亦會示範編織烹飪﹐及插花等﹐使各人增益不淺。

會員任務如下﹕
